Shot List Alterations

1. As a group we felt that it would be better if we removed the last shot completely, as by ending the opening of our film on a minor cliffhanger, it woukd engage the audience more and create a greater build up of tension.

 

2. Between many shots, we have decided to add in some close ups in order to show the audience exactly what has happened in scenes that may not be as clear. Close ups will also cut long scenes up, leading them not to drag, and also help when showing the expression on our characters faces.

Inspirational Video

Thanks to the actor who is playing our Sebastian Markov, Joshua Hinds, for directing us to this video. He thought that it would be suitable for our own film as inspiration, and when we all sat down to watch it we all agreed with this. Although the video is shot from the Point of View of the character the fights and the supernatural element are very close to our own film and this could help us choreograph our own fight scene if we go ahead with it.

Title Sequence

A title sequence can be used for many things such as:

• Introducing the film
•  Giving the audience an insight of the genre/ sub genre of the film
• Giving the location of setting of the film
• Warning us whats about to start, so part of the plot of the film
• Giving information of the tone of the film as well as the style and pace
• The time period of the film
• Title sequences also often have part of the theme tune of the film in them

The title sequence also often shows the actors in the film as well as the direct and other crew members that helped create the film. 

An example would be the Skyfall trailer, this trailer gives away quite a lot of the plot of the film e.g. the theme tune of the film written by Adele is played in the title sequence and the lyrics say " we will stand tall together at skyfall" . Skyfall is the name of the house where James bond lived as a child and is also the place where a large fight scene occurs in the film therefore the lyrics of the song directly link in with the plot as the connote something will happen at 'skyfall' which also gives away he location where part of the film is based.Another link is the naked women in the title sequence as it suggest there will be an intimate scene in the film. The title sequence shows fire which is linked to the end of the film where Skyfall is burnt down.

This film is similar to our film as it is about a millionaire (Tony Stark)  how has modified himself so that he is able to wear a suit that gives him the ability to fly, kill and protect himself as well as others.

Fantastic Four- Rise of the Silver Surfer


Each member of the fantastic four are genetically modified modified e.g. Susan Storm can turn invisible, Johnny Storm is a human torch and Ben Grimm has extreme strength therefore they all have different superhuman abilities which makes this film similar to ours.

The Amazing Spider-Man

Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider which gave him super abilities meaning he was genetically modified by the radioactive spider therefore this film is similar our film.
