Title Sequences

After all the trailers and other marketing adverts title sequences are usually the first thing that the audience sees once the lights go down, this means that they are a good way for the filmmakers to outline their intentions.
A good title sequence has to:
  • Relate to the narrative- possibly give background to the plot and the main characters
  • Show the genre
  • Build anticipation
  • Show the Production and Distribution company logos- advertisement and informs the audience what kind of production budget the film has
  • Movie Title
  • Top billed actors/actresses
  • Director
  • Producers/Executive Produces (rest of the crew featured in end credits)
